Oil Change Procedure

The oil in your engine provides lubrication. This lubrication prevents overheating and engine wear. Eventually, contaminants will accumulate in your engine oil, which is why it's important to have oil changes done. When you have an oil change performed at Colonial South CDJR, we will drain your old engine oil and refill it with fresh oil. Usually, we also replace the oil filter. Replacing the oil filter when you have an oil change is important because the filter removes waste from the oil. An old oil filter will likely have some debris buildup that can get into the new oil if the filter is not replaced.
